Soybean prices gained on delayed monsoon rains in growing regions and improved soymeal demand.
However upside seen limited after the USDA surprised the market with projections for bigger supplies and record output.
Export demand for soymeal from India is weak as domestic prices are uncompetitive on tight supplies amid expectation of lower sowing of the crop.
At the Indore spot market in top producer MP, soybean dropped -24 rupee to 4124 rupee per 100 kgs.
